Our Story
Five friends. One living room. A whole lot of ambition.
KoBaatNi Design grew out of late-night talks, bold ideas, and a shared belief that things could be better. We set out to build a venture rooted in community, collaboration, and mutual learning — one that steps in where organizations and systems fall short. Our goal: lift up communities that have been left behind, with empathy, creativity, and a deep sense of care.
KBN brings together designers, researchers, and engineers who have built for airports, fintech platforms, FMCG giants, and defense systems. We share an obsession to transform invisible infrastructure into visible understanding.
Our workspace looks like an algorithm mid-dream — sketches, datasets, code, and coffee sharing the same table. We test ideas in motion: generative prototypes, speculative maps, conversational agents. Every artifact is a breadcrumb leading toward a new understanding.

You can choose a big consultancy, we don't mind. We just prefer getting our hands dirty, working closely with you and your community - co-designing, not prescribing. Our approach is lean, research-driven, and tailored to your scale, ensuring you get thoughtful solutions, not templated frameworks (unless you want those..)
NOW you're asking the right questions!
Our projects vary depending on scope, but most engagements last between 2 to 6 months. Shorter workshops or sprints can run for a few weeks, while multi-phase research and design projects can extend to 9–12 months. We work with you to set clear milestones and deliverables from the start.
Yes, we do. Each project requirement is different, and each stakeholder's needs are different. Our project experts work thoroughly to understand your requirements, and then decide the structure of the project.

Our team is fully equipped to collaborate remotely with clients across the globe. We use digital research tools, virtual whiteboards, and collaborative workspaces to stay connected - and when needed, we travel to conduct on-ground research or co-design sessions.
We have worked in Montana, Washington, Hyderabad, New York and multiple other places. Our team is remote.
